Tom Romeo is the general manager of MAXIMUS Federal, a subsidiary of MAXIMUS Inc. that is dedicated to providing business process management solutions to federal government agencies and programs. Mr. Romeo maintains responsibility for the overall financial performance, business operations and strategic expansion of MAXIMUS Federal.
Since joining MAXIMUS, Mr. Romeo has transformed the Company’s federal business portfolio by leveraging core capabilities into complimentary adjacencies. He’s credited with enhancing business development and operational resources that bring significant expertise to MAXIMUS. Through all of these efforts, MAXIMUS Federal has grown nearly 70% in the past fiscal year and is poised to grow at a similar rate in the Company’s next fiscal year.
A leading expert in government contracting, Mr. Romeo was named to the “15 to Watch in 2012” list published by GovCon Exec Magazine that recognizes government contracting executives who are poised to shape the industry in the upcoming year. As an industry expert, he is also a sought-after speaker who has provided numerous interviews.
Prior to joining MAXIMUS in November 2011, Mr. Romeo served as a senior executive for Accenture’s health and human services business. Before that, he worked for IBM for 25 years in various capacities in the company’s federal general government, education, healthcare, NASA, social services, financial services and global business services portfolios.
Mr. Romeo holds a master’s degree in management information systems from the University of Maryland. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York, where he also earned his associate degree in applied science business administration.
